2008 was Great!!!!

I figured I should take advantage of this time that I have and make a post on our blog. All the boys are in bed taking a nap including my hubby! So I thought hey I should have a little free time as well. : ) I have been thinking a lot of what has taken place this past year. I wasn't able to do a newsletter so I thought hey why not now before the new year starts. This year started out with an Awesome party! A very memorable one. It was at Grandma's house and we had a posh New Years Party with Mom, Aunt Clary, Jeanette, Lisa and Kate and myself.(I had put the boys to bed before our party started hehehe) We made all sorts of yummy food and dressed up in our best and had fancy new years hats type things. Anyway it was just great! We played games and just hung out and talked a lot. It really meant a lot to me because I knew that I wouldn't be able to do that this year! It was what I was needing since Lim was in Iraq. The funny thing is there was no men (other then my three little men in bed sleeping) there. Just us girls. I will start with Lim. Lim was in Iraq and just came back right before Thanksgiving on a 15 month deployment. I am still working on getting some pictures from him that he took while he was there. He was promoted to SGT E-5 and before he came home he was made E-5 promotable. We are praying that the point system goes down so that he will make his SSGT. I can't wait!! He is looking into becoming a Warrant Officer and getting a degree in Criminal Justice. He is a Great NCO and takes his leadership over his soldiers very seriously. I am very proud of him. Lim was given a calling two weeks after being back. He is now a Ward Mission Leader. He is loving being home with us and enjoying every moment! I will go next. I moved myself and the boys back to Kansas in March. They didn't have a house ready for us by the time I was there to sign for one, so I ended up going to a couple of different friends houses. One of which was Tamara and Jorge's house in Iowa! We had a blast there. Then our house was ready for us so I went back to Kansas and signed for a four bedroom house! I Love it! I have been called to serve in the Relief Society Presidency three times now in less then six months! I know it is hard to believe but yes we have had three new Relief Society Presidencies. Shortly after coming back to Kansas they asked me to be the 1st councilor then when the President moved they called a new one and asked me to be the secretary which was the longest calling that I had in the Relief Society, well her and her family have been moved to South Korea. We just had a new Relief Society President called and I have been asked to be the first councilor again. I have learned a lot about the Relief Society and how much prayer, work, and love goes into running the Relief Society. I have learned something new with each President no matter how small of the time I served with them and I have had a new found love for each sister I have served with. It has taught me a lot and is helping me to become the daughter of our Heavenly Father that he would want me to be. I haven't always made the best choices but the lessons that I have learned from them have really helped me grow closer to my Heavenly Father and my Savior. I still have a lot to learn and I think that is why he keeps having me be in the Presidency. I have a great love for the gospel and the sister's in the Junction City Ward. I love serving them. We have made some great friends here which makes this feel like home. I miss being around our families. I miss the games and fun that we would have, but I am grateful for the friendships that we have made here. I am grateful for the ward that we are in for it really is our home away from home. I am now watching my friends daughter and enjoying being home with the boys. To answer questions you may all be having no I am not pregnant. This year I had faced a lot of medical issues. It was a struggle for me and taught me to lean on others. My prayers were answered as my dear friend Kristina and her husband Robert moved into our ward. She is now my doctor and has helped me through this as well as many other friends by watching my boys when I needed to go to my doctors appointments or as I needed to fulfill my calling, while my hubby was away. My husband surprised me by calling me saying that he would be home the next day from Iraq!!! I was so thrilled!! I am in the middle of making an Asian style table which is low to the ground and you sit on cushions instead of chairs. I am so excited it is coming along. I wanted it done before my hubby came home but I am so glad he came home before Thanksgiving. It is too cold for me to finish so I am trying to come up with a plan so that I can finish the table soon. I will post pictures when I am done. I just can't wait!!! On to Malachi. He is loving being in Kindergarten and loves his teacher Mrs. Fine. She has been teaching kindergarten for 28 years and loves it. She is great with the kids. She doesn't let them get away with things but she is gentle and kind. Malachi has lots of friends at school. There has been many firsts that we have been faced with since Malachi has gone to school. One example is one of the girls in Malachi's class has a crush on him and was giving him things from a necklace which always stayed in his backpack to candy. I had to tell him not to accept gifts from girls and to say thanks but no thanks. I am very grateful that we have the gospel in our lives. I am very proud of Malachi because he will listen when the other children are up running around or misbehaving. He makes his mistakes but he is good about listening and standing up for what is right. He loves being a big brother and wants a baby sister. I told him to tell Heavenly Father that when he says his prayers. hehehe Malachi is growing so much that I am afraid that I will be passed up with in two years if I am lucky! Isaac is loving going to play group and having Mrs. Rachel come over and work with him. We are in a program called Parents as Teachers and someone will come over and do fun games that teaches the kids their numbers, letters, words, and helps show the parents how they can make everyday life a fun learning experience for the kids. I Love it! They test the children to see where they are and Isaac is doing very well. He is a very active boy. Bouncing off the walls. He misses Malachi while he is at school but has now taken the place of the Big Brother when Malachi is at school. It is funny to watch how different he is with Alma when Malachi is gone. Isaac is going to be a sunbeam starting in January! He is so excited!! I just can't believe he is going to be a Sunbeam! Where has the time gone! Alma is growing faster then a weed! He is catching up to Isaac! There is only a head length difference in between them. He makes the funniest faces and is talking like no other! I am not kidding. Our friends came over who haven't been here since October and could totally understand him. People who we have met for the first time understand him and are surprised when we tell them that he is two! I guess it helps that he has two older brothers who love to talk and sing! hahaha They are so funny together! My three musketeers! I am very grateful for them, for the lessons they teach us and the Joy they bring into our lives!!! All three boys want a baby sister. Alma was a little hesitant at first but has joined with his brothers in wanting a baby sister. They ask me Mom why can't we have a baby sister now? I said well it takes some time and effort and I can't promise you that we will have a little sister when I do get pregnant. I asked them if they will be happy if they have a baby brother. Malachi said that he has enough brothers already, Isaac said that he wants a baby sister and a baby brother, Alma is pretty easy going right now. Well my boys are awake now so I better go. We have all been blessed this year! The biggest blessing that we have received is that Malachi is adopted and will be sealed to us on the 5th of February at the 11 O'clock session for anyone who can make it. We will be at the Seattle Temple! All of us are so excited to go! Malachi's favorite song is I Love to See the Temple. He is looking forward to go inside the Temple. We have been talking a lot about the temple and how we have to be reverent and that we need to respect the Lord's house. I want to thank all of you who have taken the time to read this really long post. I hope that you have had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Love the Horn Family : )

Meeting Iron Man

Iron Man was at the PX before Christmas. So we took the boys there to meet them. We stood in line and it was Awesome! The boys were so excited to get up there and stand next to Iron Man! Isaac was excited until it was time to go up there. He needed Daddy to stay with him. Afterwards he was talking up a storm about how he met Iron Man. It was so cute. The boys had their picture taken and was given a comic book and a coloring book. We even had one signed by Iron Man! The boys were really happy about that. It just made their day. I Loved it. So for Christmas Isaac was given an Iron Man set. Which all three boys love! I Love that they share!

Oh Christmas Tree

I didn't get to take pictures on Christmas. :( My camera wasn't charged and the boys were too excited to wait until it was charged so we just used our video camera. I was able to take pictures of us decorating our tree. It was a lot taller but kept on falling over. So Lim cut a good foot in a half off of the tree. So it is our short full Christmas Tree and I Love it!!! Lim and Malachi went and picked out our tree. That was Lim's first time ever getting a Christmas Tree and he did a great job!!! The boys were so excited! Sister Maludrik hasn't ever decorated a Christmas Tree before so I had her and her companion Sister Singe come and decorate our Christmas Tree with the boys. Lim and I were taking pictures and I was getting things ready for them to put on our tree. It was a lot of fun! Here are the before and after. Of course I didn't get any pictures of the presents under the tree. It was a beautiful site.

It was the best Thanksgiving this year because my hubby surprised me by calling me the day before he came home and said he was on his way!!!! We weren't thinking that he would be able to do so. We thought that he was going to be home in December, so this was such an answer to our prayers!!! Thank you for all who kept us in your prayers!!!! The boys were really excited for Daddy to come home. They hardly slept. They were up several times the night before. So we were all tired but it worked out. The ceremony started at five and he was right up front!!!! We didn't need the big banner but it was fun anyway. We showed it off with lots of pride. It was a pretty small group compared to the last time he came home. I would much rather have it be a small group. While we were waiting for the ceremony to start, the General came up to us and was talking to the boys. He said that they looked like they were getting ready to go to the beach. He said where are you from Florida???? Malachi then replied No we belong in Kansas! So there you have it. hahaha it was Great! Then the ceremony started not too long after that. Lim came in and we were all screaming and cheering and it was so AWESOME!!!!! He was right in front practically! He was behind the Commander and the Command SGT. Major. He saw us soon after coming in and had a Great Big Smile on his face!!! We were all so excited!!! The pictures aren't the greatest because it was a really hard angle to get his picture. I went right in front of them but then you couldn't see him so I just took it from the side view so you could see him. We have the actual reunion on our video camera. My friend Sarah came with me, she is so great! So she took pictures and took the video. As soon as they dismissed the soldiers I just ran right for Lim!!! I didn't win the Mommy of the Year Award that night because I left the kids right there with my friend. I just didn't even think I just ran! I feel so bad leaving them behind. Isaac ended up running after me. Alma was angry because he didn't understand what was going on and that he saw me running like crazy right to Daddy!!! Malachi is more sensitive and he started crying because he was so happy that his Daddy was HOME!!!!! It was awesome!!! Very sweet too!!!! It just goes to show how much a deployment takes a toll on the children! I am very Proud of my Husband though and the boys are too!!! Isaac said on the way home "Daddy you are our HERO!!!" It was the sweetest way of him showing how Proud he is to have his Daddy being a Soldier. All of the boys of course said that after Isaac did. I am very Grateful for my husband and my boys!!! I love them dearly!!! I can't imagine life with out them! I am so Grateful for the time that we have as a family and we aren't wasting one minute of our time with one another!!!! Lots of wrestling is going on in the house right now! It is fun to watch the boys have so much fun with Daddy! When they are hurt or needing to cuddle they come to Mommy so that makes me feel good. : ) We had a Great Thanksgiving!!! The boys are loving every minute of their time with Daddy and I am too!!! Lim says it is so good to be Home!!!! Welcome Home!!!!!! : )

I really wanted to look HOT for when Lim came home! I also cut my hair!!! I Love It!!! I have AWESOME News!!!!! I just received a phone call from my very tired and exhausted Hubby saying that he is on his way home!!! That he will be home before Thanksgiving!!! Rear D called me and told me that he will be coming home tomorrow and that the ceremony will be at 5:00pm!!! I am so stinkin excited!!! So I had to hurry and get my hair cut and get the house all in order. Thanks to my Friend Sarah who stayed at my house until midnight we have been able to get things done!!! AWESOME!!!!! Now Lim can relax!!! I haven't finished my Asian table yet but I will start doing painting tomorrow : ) I want to say Thank You to all of you who have kept us in your thoughts and prayers! It has meant a lot to me and to our family! I know that it was through the power of prayer that my hubby is able to come home before Thanksgiving!!! That is the best present that I could get!!! The boys are so excited!!! Malachi was hoping that tomorrow was school so that he could tell everyone that his daddy is coming home!!! He was so stinkin excited!!!! I just can't wait!!!! Let me know what you think of the pics!!! : ) We will post more and pics of the homecoming soon. Stay tuned!!! : )

Funny Alma : )

Lately Alma has been climbing on everything!!! He has been jumping off of the stools that I just bought which gives me a heart attack every time I see him jump. He is so funny. He doesn't want me to just put him in his car seat he wants to climb in his car seat himself. He newest thing is " No I do it Mom" He still is my cuddlier. So the other morning I was talking to my hubby upstairs and Alma was downstairs. Well I went down there to start breakfast for the boys and I found Alma in the sink! I couldn't believe it. He climb onto the counter and went across the sink to the side furthest away from the counter that he climbed up on! I wish I would have had my camera when I walked down the stairs! His facial expression was priceless!!! I did get very cute pics though. His socks were soaking wet because I had dishes rinsed and ready for me to load up in the dishwasher. I couldn't believe that he wanted to be in that one that had so many dishes in it. I tell ya. He always is surprising me. I just can't wait for Lim to come home and see how funny this boy is!!! All the boys are funny. I will catch the older two doing something soon I am sure and then I will post a blog. I Love finding the Joy in the Journey!!!! : )

Extreme Home Makeover!!!!

Okay so everyone has said what is in Kansas..... Well Extreme Home Makeover was!!!! I am not kidding, because of all the horrible tornado's that we had this past summer, they came to help build a house for a soldier and his wife and repair some parts of Chapman. How cool is that! I didn't get to find out until it was too late but my friend Sarah was able to go and volunteer and Ty spoke to her!!! Yes Ty spoke to my friend Sarah!!! AWESOME!!!! So here are a few pics of my friend Kathia's daughter. They went up after school. We would have but the boys were all so sick and I was too. So we had to pass up this Awesome event!!!! So Awesome!!!!! I so wish I could have been there!!! You never know who will be in Kansas!!!! : )

Pray for Us!!!

My hubby called me yesterday morning and said that he might not make it home in time for Thanksgiving. : ( He said that there is one chance that he will make it home so I told him that I will put my focus and my prayers for that one chance for him to come home in time for Thanksgiving. Otherwise he won't be home until the 2nd of December. He said it has something to do with the contracts that they have with the planes or something like that. So I am asking everyone to keep us in your prayers and pray that Lim will come home on that one chance back here before Thanksgiving. I thank you all for your love and support. I will make sure that I will do a post as soon as he gets home!!!! : ) What a great day that will be!!!!!! I just can't wait!!! We all miss him so much! The boys are getting really anxious and so am I. Lim is also anxious and we know that we just need to put our trust in the Lord and everything will work out. We will keep you posted. Thanks

Sick, Sick, and more Sick : (

The boys have been sick. First it was Alma and then Malachi and now Isaac! Well they all thought that sharing would be caring since I always tell them that so they shared with me! Oh so sweet of them to do. So yesterday Sister Hyrns and Sister Maldurick came to my house and help me do some laundry and help me clean my house. I kept telling them not to worry about it but they wanted to help!! I can't thank them enough!!!! So after we were done having dinner our friends the Rowleys came over to my house for Hannah's birthday! (their daughter) We had cake and cupcakes. Sister Hyrns loves taking pictures and video of people when they are not expecting it. If anyone has ever seen me sick they know that once my nose is raw I put tissue up my nose to help from having to wipe my nose all the time. This is how I greeted the sisters when they came to my house that day. Sister Hyrns was determined to get a picture of me, well she ended up getting a video of me and it was funny! I thought I would share it with ya. There can always be a funny moment even when you are sick. I didn't even know that she was video taping me! I thought she was just taking a picture so I thought okay might as well make a funny face! Yeah she was taping me the whole time!!! It was a great way to end the day! : ) I feel much better today but still sicky. : (

Thank you all who have served and who are serving!

I just wanted to say thank you to all of those who have served and who are serving our country! With out all of you we wouldn't have this wonderful country that we live in. I have a greater appreciation for all those who have and are serving now since I have married my husband. Who is serving in Iraq at this time. My heart goes out to all of you!!!

Alma fell today on our front stairs outside! I was opening the screen door to unlock our front door and the boys were all right there in front of the screen door. So I lost my footing (if that is the right way to say it) and knocked Alma right off the stairs! I tried to grabb him but I think I ended up choking him! Not a good activity! He scraped his chin and chipped his front tooth! His bottom teeth were bleeding! I had my friend who is a dental assistant look at his teeth and she said that if his gums start changing color that his teeth will be dead and that they will fall out! I am praying that it doesn't happen. I have a dentist appointment for Alma and Isaac on the 1st December. Hopefully everything will be alright. He is doing good though.

Tonight as I was getting ready to brush Malachi's teeth he said Mom can you not brush my loosed tooth? I asked him where it was and he showed it to me. I don't know how I could have missed that before. I was really excited because I wasn't expecting him to loose his teeth until he was older. The dentist told me that he wouldn't start loosing his teeth until he was six or seven. I am thinking maybe she meant his teeth in the back. Anyway so I asked him if he wanted it out tonight so that the tooth fairy could come! He said yes and so I started to get the tooth out but he kept moving his head so I said okay lets lay down on the floor. Not such a good idea when trying to pull a tooth out. As soon as I took his tooth out he moved his head around and almost swallowed his tooth! I told him to lay still so I could get it. It was in between his lip and his gums so we were good. He said is it out Mom???!!!! (very excited) Then got up and went straight to the mirror! It was so funny!!! He had to show his brothers his tooth and the whole he now has. He is very proud of his tooth being gone!!

Our Sealing Date!!! : )

I have called the Seattle Temple and have set up the appointment for us to be sealed! It will be February 5th at 11:00 am!!! I can't wait!!! I am so excited!!! We have been waiting a long time for this. I want to thank all of you for having us in your thoughts and prayers!!! We truly feel blessed!!! Lim is coming home in less then two weeks!!!!! Ahhhhh!!!!! We are so excited!!! I can't wait to see him!!! We all are excited!! We are praying that there won't be any delays! That he will be able arrive on time!!! I wanted to share this good news with everyone!!! I hope to see you there!!! : )

So today is my Birthday!! Yeppie!!! I almost forgot how old I was. It is a funny story. I was being asked how old I was turning and I told them 28. For some reason that felt wrong to me, but I kept on thinking that I was turning 28. So on Halloween we had some friends over. My friend Sarah Timmons was like so you were born in 80 and I was like no I was born in 81 and she was like then you are turning 27 and I was like no I am turning 28. She then said it is 2008 not 2009. It hit me right then and there that I am turning 27 and that I had forgotten how old I was!!!! Oh man how sad is that. Hahahaha. I had my husband on the brain!!! He just turned 28 this year. That is how I normally remember how old I am because I think about how old he is and then subtract a year. I tell ya!!! Funny huh!!! For my Birthday Lim sent me these beautiful roses!!! 12 longstem and 12 short stem. Red,white, and pink. He also sent me a teddy bear and some chocolates!! They messed up and sent them to me on Halloween but it was fun to get them no matter when it was!!! My Friend Amy Rowley is taking me to see Fire Proof!!! If you haven't seen it look up the trailers!!! It is AWESOME!!!! I can't wait to see it!!! Good morals and doesn't have junk in it!!!! You just don't see those anymore. It is PG and it is for adults!!! I have heard great things from everyone who has seen it!!!! I saw a trailer for it the other night and man it is awesome!!! I really want to go see it!!! So She found a babysitter so that I don't have too and so that we can go see it!!! I am so excited!!!! Yeppie!!! This morning I made cinnamin rolls and the boys put candles in their cinnamin roll and one in mine and lit mine and they sang Happy Birthday to me this morning! It was a Great way to start the day!!! While I was talking to my hubby he forgot that today was actually my birthday!! hahaha He just thought it was Tuesday not Tuesday the 4th of November!!!! Hahaha So when he didn't say anything I told him how the boys sang Happy Birthday and he thought and was really quiet and then said Did I write Happy Birthday to you in my email this morning? I said no and he said Oh I am so so so so so so Sorry!!!! He felt so bad!! He has been so super busy lately trying to get everything done that he has lost track of what day it is! Poor guy!!! So he said that he will make it up to me when he gets home. I told him well I will let this go this time because you sent the flowers wink wink! He laughed and said yeah well if they would have arrived on time I wouldn't have forgotten. Then we both laughed. I could tell he felt so bad! I know that he LOVES me and that if he wasn't working crazy hours and wasn't so busy that he would have remembered!!! He is really good about that. So that is my birthday so far!! I will let you know more at the end of the day!!! : )

So you might ask why is Erin doing a post about Clorox Anywhere Hardsurface Daily Sanitizing Spray? Well I will tel you why... We did an art project and Isaac decided he wanted to be like the great ones and drew on my counter! He pressed so hard it was just caked on there! I didn't even know he was doing that! Where was I?!!! This was right before Conference started so I think I was getting things set up. Man he is quick! Anyway so I put the boys to bed I think for a nap, I can't remember. I was talking to Kate and was telling her what Isaac had done, as I was doing so I said I don't know how I am going to get this off. I will just have to scrub and hopefully I will get this off. Well I thought try the spray! I Love this spray!!! It has been my friend for a while now but this has made it be my best friend!!! Anyway so I sprayed it and got a paper towel and just wiped to see what would come off. It all came off! No scrubbing or anything!!!! It was AWESOME!!!!! I told Kate what had happened and took a picture of the bottle!!!! I was so Happy!!! So that is why I am doing a post about this spray!! If you don't have it, man you are missing out! It has saved me so many times!! It makes cleaning up hard to do jobs easy, and with out having all the hard chemicals to clear a room! I Love IT!!!!!! Well it is just my opinion. There are lots of good cleaning supplies out there but this is the one for me! : ) Just thought I would share! : )

We went to the Pumpkin Patch last weekend because Malachi had Friday off, and his field trip to the Pumpkin Patch was canceled! Such a bummer!!! That is their only field trip. He was really bummed out so he asked if we could go. I thought about it and was like yeah lets go and get some pumpkins! Well they really stepped it up this year. A couple of years ago when Lim was home we took the boys and it wasn't that great. It was okay but just not exciting. Anyway this time we had our friends the Rowley's and the Timmons and my friends daughter Katelynn come with us. We also had my friend Sarah (Timmons)neighbor's daughter come with us too. Okay so that is who we went with. We also went with my friend Amy Croft but they had to go soon so they only stayed for a little bit. I don't think I have any pics with them. : ( We will get some though. They had a petting zoo, a blow up climbing thing, and an obstacle course for the kids. Plus the cut out board things to take funny pics with! Then we went on a hay ride to a corn maze, which lead to the pumpkin patch where we picked out a pumpkin for each of us and then headed back to the petting zoo and such to take awesome pics! We had lots of fun! It was awesome to see how happy the kids were! Isaac and Alma were too afraid to go into the pin to pet the animals so we stayed out and took pictures. That is why you won't see very many of us with the animals. It was awesome!!! I can't wait till Lim can come with us next year and see how cool it is now! Hopefully they won't take anything away next year! It was AWESOME!!!!

How many people get a chance to go up and go flying?! We have some friends who are able to fly planes and they took us flying!!!! My friend Amy and her husband went on a date one night and I watched their three girls. (Not like they had to twist my arm) It was lots of fun watching girls!! Their girls are close to my boys ages. Shayla 5, Hannah 3, and Makeala 3 almost 4 months. It was a lot of fun and the boys had a blast! They keep telling me that they don't want another brother, they want a sister! It is so cute so I have told them to ask Heavenly Father about that one. To get back to what I was saying before. He flew her to another town near by and took her out to dinner. So they took me and the boys out flying!!! It was so much fun and the boys had a blast! I have a picture with Isaac and Alma sitting in the front seat and all you can see is two little bumps it is so funny!!! I Love it!!! We had a good time. I really like flying. It is funny how the first time I flew was this past May and then I was able to go flying in a small airplane around Kansas! It was a lot of fun and I really liked it. I wish Lim was here for this! It would have made it perfect! I know it has been a long time since I have made a post but lots of things have come up. Life has been very busy but that is good it makes the days go by quickly!!! Yeppie!!! Okay I better go. Have lots of things to get done before tomorrow so I will add the pics and hope you all enjoy!!! : ) Love and miss you all!!!! : )

Happpy Birthday Babe!!!

My hubby's birthday was on the 16th. I know that it is late but I have been crazy busy and no I didn't forget his birthday. I did wish him Happy Birthday on his birthday when he called me that day! With my friends help we made him another dvd for his birthday. This time we included video's that I had taken. It turned out awesome! My friends husband is going to give me a copy or copy it to my computer so I will always have it I will have to share it sometime with you all! It was awesome!! He doesn't know what he is getting. I sent it with my friends husband when he left back from his R&R so he knows he is getting something, he just doesn't know what it is. Hehehehehe. I know I am so bad! He was a bit on the naughty side too. He was trying to ask the boys what it was that we got for his birthday. Isaac spilled the beans on us getting him Iron Man. That is all that I let slip out of his mouth. I took the phone away and told him that is cheating and then told Isaac we have to keep it a secret and that we can't tell Daddy! He was a little confused but seemed to understand it later. He laughed and then wouldn't tell him. It was funny. He just kept on saying Iron Man. It was great! haha I sure wish that he was here right now but it won't be long. I can't wait for him to get the package that we sent with him. He emailed me and said babe if Don (that is the name of my friends husband) tries to kiss me, I am going to punch him! I laughed and said don't worry babe I didn't ask him to give you a kiss or anything! He is so funny!!! Lim still loves the dvd that Leslie helped me with when I went down to visit her before Father's Day. He watches it every night! Thanks Leslie for that!!! You Rock!!! I am all about things that come from the heart! I think that means way more to someone then something that you buy from the store! I mainly bought the Iron Man to keep him entertained since he has moved into the tents!!! Yeppie!!!! Not much longer now. I can't wait!!!!! Happy Day!!

Update : )

I have lots to update everyone on our family! I want to share that my hubby is getting an award for winning the Soldier of the Month board as well as passing his E6 board!!!! Yeppie!! I am really excited!! He is too. Another great news for our family is that Malachi's adoption will be final on the 23rd of October!!!! I can't wait!!!! We all are really excited!!! He will be adopted before Lim even comes home! Total answer to our prayers!!!! We have been so blessed! We are praying that his points will go down in November. I will explain that real quick. You have to have so many points to be promoted when you are enlisted. Right now the points are up really really high. The points are 798 Lim has 744 which is awesome and he has been working very hard to get any point possible! November is when the points are supposed to drop. It could drop one point or more just depends, so please keep us in your prayers. : )

Another big news in our family is that Malachi's adoption will be final on October 23, 2008!!!!! We are so excited!!!! This has been such an answer to prayers. He will be adopted before Lim comes home!!! If that isn't a tender mercy from our Savior I don't know what is! We feel so blessed! Here is some update on my health issues :( No fun! For those of you who don't know I will get you caught up. I have been having lots of pain in my lower left abdomin and my lower left back as well. I went into the ER like two months ago I think it has been a little longer then two months but yeah. I thought it was a UTI going into my kidneys because I have had that several times. Not such a good activity. Anyway so the doctor didn't even check me out and just gave me lots of antiboitics and then sent me on my way. I also told him about the lower abdomin pain and he said that he thought it was a cyst and that I needed to get an ultrasound. So I was trying to get one for the longest time and I was given the run around, which is so much fun but I was able to get an appointment. So I was still having pain and I thought since the ultrasound appointment was so far away I needed to go into the doctors to find out if I did have a cyst. My doctor is a Sister from my ward!!!! How cool is that!!! She is awesome and I totally trust her!!!! Anyway so her office got me right in and she confirmed that I do have a cyst and that it has leaked like three or four times!!! That is so not fun! It feels like your insides are burning up not to mention that you feel like you have been punched in your stomach! Anyway so now I am on birth control and was taking aleve two times a day for almost a month for the pain. I was supposed to take it for a month but anyone who knows me knows I am not a pill person and would rather deal with the pain. I know it is wrong of me to do but yeah. My body just doesn't like taking pills like that. So the pain and dulled but I still have it from time to time esp when I am doing a lot of physcial activity or on my feet a lot. So I have to take time to rest. So my ultrasound appointment was cancled and then they set me up for another one and they cancled that one too the day of! I was really upset and frusterated to say the least. They did set me up for an appointment yesterday and I did finally get my ultrasound. I don't know anything yet. I am waiting for them to give me the results so I can give it to my doctor. I won't go into that one but yeah so I have to pick them up when they are done. I am going to bug them tomorrow to see if they have them done. The tech said good luck with everything and that was it. So I am not sure what that means. They did an external and internal ultrasound. First one not so bad except I had a really full bladder! The second one was not so fun. She moved the equipment a certain way and man it hurt so I am hoping that she was able to catch on film why I am getting pain there!!! I am praying for that so that we can fix this. My doctor said that I need to be on the birth control for about four months all together. I have been on it for one month. So yeah. Things are getting done at least and we are moving along to find out what is going on with me! hahahaha

Malachi is loving school and is getting so big!!! His teacher said that he is one of her favorite students because he listens and is respectful! I think that is awesome!!!! He has many friends at school including lots of friends that are girls. That makes me a little nervous, this is why...... A couple of weeks ago Malachi came home and this girl had given him her necklace. He didn't think anything of it but I am like yeah you need to give that back, and don't except things from girls like that. Just say thanks but no thanks! He loves PE and Music. More PE then anything! That seems to be what he talks about the most. The other day they had the firemen and firewomen come to his school and he was so excited! He told me all about it. It was a fun day for him. I don't know when they are having school pics yet so when I do I will let you all know. I can't wait!!! He will have a field trip this month but I can't remember when. I will be volunteering for his class pretty soon. I am excited about that!

Isaac is having lots of fun being home but sometimes wishes that he could go to school too. He misses Malachi a lot of the times. It is really sweet! He is however he is using the time away from Malachi to teach Alma not so good things. Like to climb the fence! Alma has almost gone all the way over! They have been getting into everything!!! Clearasil all over my carpet! Not such a good activity!!! Toothpaste, A&D, Babypowder and soap! I know there is more but I can't remember them all. hahahahaha yeah they keep me very busy and on my toes! They have to stay in my eyesight!

Alma is loving his age and exploring everything! He has tried to eat conditioner, A&D, and many other fun things, that totally scare me!!!! He is working on being a big boy!! He has said goodbye to the Binki!!!! I am so happy about that!!!! He has gone with out it for a couple of weeks now and doing great!!! One time he saw a baby have a binki and he threw a little fit but he got over it quick and that has been it since then. He doesn't have it for bed or anything, he quite cold turkey!!! hahahaha Now he is trying to potty train himself so it looks like Lim is going to miss out on the fun! I have potty trained Malachi and Isaac by myself so I was hoping to let Lim have the fun but yeah it looks like Alma wants to be a very big boy for when Daddy comes home! Alma is talking up a storm and is always repeating what we say! He loves saying prayers even when it isn't his turn. I Love it!!! He is so sweet. All three boys are being really sweet right now and I am throughly enjoying it!!! They are really baby hungry I think worse then I am! They have requested no more boys but they want some baby sisters! I told them to talk to Dad on that one. Hahahahaha. So we will see if they do. That is all that I can think of to update you all on our family. We miss you all and hope everything is going well in your families!!!

Okay so you are probably wondering why I put that as the title. I am so Proud of my hubby!!! That is what I first said to my husband when he told me the news! My hubby had two boards to study for. They were back to back. One on Monday and on Today (Tuesday) He nailed both of them! I can't remember how many guys were competing for the board on Monday. It is called the Soldier of the Quarter only one gets the award and I think there was like ten people who were qualified to try for it. My hubby won that board!!! AWESOME!!! Then the next board, which was today, was the E6 board! He passed that one too!!!! I then talked to the Commander who told me that the SGT. Major said to him that he hasn't seen someone nail the board like my hubby did in so long!!!! I am So PROUD of my Hubby!!! He has worked so hard while being deployed!!! He also had one of his Soldiers go to the board as well and he passed his board!!! Go BABE!!!!! The Commander was really impressed with my hubby!!! I am so grateful that our prayers have been answered! I really miss my hubby and wish that I could be with my hubby right now!!! He is coming home soon!!! We are waiting for the points to dropp so that he will be Staff SGT Horn!!!! OH Yeah!!! SSGT Horn sounds really good!! He is preparing to get his Warrant Officer Packet going. I am really excited!!! Just had to share the good news!!!!! Yay!!!!!

I am so glad that I was able to get this on video!!! Enjoy!!! Sorry it has taken me so long to post something. My computer wasn't working and wasn't allowing me to post things. It is working now! Malachi's First Day of School Video : )

I had to include this video! It was way too cute to leave out!!! Enjoy!!! : )

Pics of Malachi's First Day of School : )

The name of Malachi's School is Custer Hill forgot to add that to the last post : )

Malachi's First Day of School : )

Today was Malachi's first day of school! I can't believe that he is that old! Where did the time go?! We have been talking about him going to school for sometime now to prep him. We went yesterday to his open house(to meet his teacher and turn in school supplies). We had a good time. At first he was shy and hid behind my leg but then after a couple of minutes he was good to go. He loved his class room and teacher. His Teachers name is Mrs. Fine. She is really nice. She has been teaching Kindergarten for 28 years! She is awesome and super nice! I am very glad that Malachi is in her class. There are more students then what I thought there would be but I feel that she is able to handel all of those kids. Today was just a half day but tomorrow is the first full day of school. I wasn't able to walk back with him but was able to walk to the gym with him where he lined up. Today he was not liking how many people were there! We had to stand in line to drop off the kids in the gym. When it was our turn Malachi said I am Not going in there! I told him how he was so excited and if he remembered going to meet his teacher and saw his class room and he said yes. I said so come on bud lets go inside the gym. He said I will go to my class but I am Not going in there! I said hunny that is where your teacher is right now she is waiting for all of your class mates to get here and then she is going to take you to your class room okay? Then he looked and sure enough his teacher was right there at the door when I said that, perfect timing! So he got up his courage and went inside. He sat right down and I gave him a kiss and said I will see you when school gets out okay. He gave me a kiss and said okay. As we were walking out Alma said Momma Momma Kiss kiss! I said oh you want to give Malachi a kiss he said yeah. I said okay so I took him and he gave Malachi a kiss really quick and then we left. When he came out he was so super excited! He was like Mom I get to go to school tomorrow and the day after that and the day after that and forever Mom! I said well there are some of those days that you won't be going but yeah you get to go tomorrow, all day!! He was so excited! He said Mom I like my teacher. I said that is good. He keeps calling her Sister Fine instead of Mrs. Fine. I keep on correcting him but I can't help but laugh inside because that is just so cute! He is just a wonderful kid! I am so glad that he is going to that school! We are looking forward to tomorrow : )

Now they are doing 50% off of the banners for 10,000military families! They are great quality and are huge!!!! I had to stand on a chair so that I could take a picture of it! I am so excited for when he comes home so he can see the banner!!!! We will be holding it up proudly while we wait for him to walk in the room!!!! I AM SO EXCITED!!!!! AHHHHHH Okay I am calm again. Breaking Dawn!!!

Okay so I am totally addicted to the twilight series! Thanks to my sister Kate! I pre ordered the book thinking that I was getting a great deal and I was so excited. Well I ended up having to wait until the 6th to get my book which was so hard!!! I went with my friend Brooke to the Breaking Dawn book party. (I introduced her) It seems that everyone that I have talked to in Kansas has not heard of or read the books!!!!! Crazy I know! So I have started to introduce these books to a couple of people and all who have read it can't put it down!!! I love it! First they make fun of me for reading a book about vampires and then they end up loving just like me! Great Fun! Anyway so I went to the party and was so sad that I had already preordered mine! While I was there though they were doing drawings and I won a dvd trailer on the movie!!! How fun!!! So I had my friend Brooke tell me everything that she was reading until she left it one night and then I read it until I was finished and then started re reading the beginning for myself! I couldn't put it down nor did I feel tired! I read until 6:30 in the morning!!!! That is a new record for me! I couldn't believe it! I won't give it away the ending or anything but wow! AWESOME!!!! I can't wait for the movie. I was talking to my hubby and said that I want to see that movie in the movie theater! He said that he wanted to rent it and I said NO!!!! We have to watch it in the movie theater. He laughed but then agreed!!! I can't wait for him to get home!!!! I love my hubby!!!!! He said that he just can't say no to me!!! Such an Edward thing to say hahahahaha. Okay enough of that. I just had to say that it is a great read and that I couldn't put it down! I Loved it!!!!

Winter Quarter's Temple Trip

Yesterday we went to the Winter Quarter's temple. That is the temple that we are assigned too. It is four hours away from us! We had quite the trip there to the temple! I think I was being tested! I had to have been. Okay so I will start at the beginning. I bought each of the boys a bottle of Propell. That way it would last them through the trip. We have had some seriously hot days here and it was eight in the morning and already super hot! I think in the 80's or the 90's I can't remember but we had a lot of humidity as well which made it feel like it was in the hundreds! Crazy!! As soon as you stepped out of your house you were sweating and I am not kidding at least I was! I am not use to this humidity! Anyway just to give a little background. So I didn't really put that into my thought process as I bought these drinks for the boys. Well Malachi and Isaac drank all of theirs before we even left for the temple! I didn't know that though. See our boys have traveled a lot in our car from here to Wa and such so I thought hey what is a four hour drive. Well Isaac was having bladder issues!!! About one hour in a half into our trip he starts yelling Mom I have to pee. (just for those who don't know we let the boys go potty in a empty bottle as we are driving) It is so great when there are two adults! So I told Isaac to unbuckle and to come up to the front I am explaining as I always do to make sure that his man hood is in the bottle before he pees. Well he didn't do that and all I could see was a stream of urine going everywhere!!!! All over me and my arm and on Alma's leg a little bit but more then anything on my seats!!!! Ahhhhhh. I was yelling Isaac stop stop put your manhood in the bottle!!!! He just couldn't stop once he started.I was driving at this time and I had to pay attention to the road. I did go off a little bit a couple of times but we were good and it was just onto the shoulder of the road. Anyway so I asked him if he was done when he wasn't going anymore and he said yes and pulled up his pants and sat back in his seat and got buckled. So then I asked Malachi if he could please get me some wipes because my arm and hand was covered in urine, so he did that for me.

Then about twenty to thirty minutes he starts saying that he has to go pee again! I told him No! You just peed all over me and some on your brother ( which I did clean up, after I was all cleaned)and all over my car! You do not have to go pee. Well he didn't like that so much and so he threw a huge fit. Well Malachi starts saying he has to go so I told him to go in the bottle and he could hold it himself and he said okay so he did and was good to go. Then Isaac says that he has to go so I said okay it has been a while and asked Malachi if he could help hold the bottle this time and don't let Isaac out of the chair. Well Malachi told me that he had some pee on his pants. I thought maybe a dribble or something. So I asked Malachi is a little bit or a lot. Malachi said a lot! Well we ended up stopping to get some food and I wanted to see how bad it was. Well he was soaked all the way to his chest!!!! I couldn't' believe it!!!! I have never had so much trouble with that! So thankfully there was a Walmart!!! So I bought new under ware, shirt, and shorts for Isaac. Then we finished going to the temple. When we reached the temple Isaac said he had to go pee again and I just took him when we stopped for food and clothing. So I said okay let me get directions and then I will get you to the bathroom. Well he didn't want to wait so he pulled down his pants stood on the back row and while leaning on the middle seat started peeing on the toys that we brought for them to share with the other children!!!! Malachi was freaking out and I asked him what was wrong because I had no idea this was happening!!! Malachi said Isaac is peeing on my toys!!! I looked back and sure enough he was doing that!!!!! All over my seat and rug and toys!!!! I couldn't believe it!!! I was able to make it all the way to Washington by myself with the boys and back and never had this problem!!! No where close at all!!!! I was in awe! I was having a hard time finding words! So I told him never ever will I give you that drink ever ever ever ever again while we are in the car!!!! Then everything went great!!! I watched other people's children so that they could go since I had already gone at the Temple in Washington and I know how far it is so they don't get the opportunity to go all the time. Anyway so the kids were great as we were watching them and Isaac went I think like three to four more times while we were there. It was awesome though. We went to the bookstore and had fun in there. Saw lots of things that I want. We took lots of pics of the temple and the boys loved it. We had a great time with our friends the Menna's and the O'neil's while we all took pictures of us and our families at the temple. It was a lot of fun. I have lots of pics. I will post them once I am able to. My computer is acting funny and it won't let me download the latest flasher player for adobe : ( I have tried and it says that it was complete but I can't look at video's and it won't let me do the smile box! I am so so sad!!! That is why I haven't done too many posts! Well besides being very busy! I can look back and laugh about it now but man it was such a learning experience for me! I have I think graduated from the level of patience that I was on before and have gone to the next level! Kids are great!!!!! Never a dull moment!

Oh the wonderful things Children Do : )

On Sunday I was conducting Relief Society and when I turned the time over to the teacher, I sat down in my chair and was really into the lesson. It was great. Then all of a sudden I hear Mom and I thought oh that is cute I wonder's who child that is. Then I hear Mom again and I realized that I am the Mom and that it was Isaac. As soon as I realized that it was Isaac he says very loudly "Mom I have to Poop!" I was so embarrassed! I got up so quick and all of the sisters are laughing. I felt so bad too because it totally disrupted the lesson. Yeah so needless to say there are no dull moments here. When I got out there in the hallway I told Isaac that next time to just come up to me and say it in my ear not to blurt it out like that. He said well Mom I have to go. I said yes but you can come tell me instead of telling everyone, okay. Then he agreed. It was funny but man so embarrassing. Good times : )

The power of Prayer is AWESOME!!!!!

As you all know we have been planning on having Malachi adopted for some years now. We had a lot of things that had us wait, one was Lim's citizenship, then him coming back from being deployed, and last but not least us getting settled. Lim is deployed again but Malachi is starting school in August! So we talked and figured hey lets just get the ball rolling. See what we can do until Lim is able to come home. So while I was in Washington I was over at Crystal and Britt's house and I started looking up lawyers. Crystal was helping me choose the right one. I called him earlier this week and had an appointment today. I went to his office and it was awesome. I said a prayer before I even called them and before I went in the office. It was AWESOME! He is a really nice guy and has been doing this for 20 plus years! Which is great! Then he said that we can have Malachi adopted in 30 to 60 days depending how long it takes for the publication! Malachi will be adopted before Lim comes home!!!! There are a few options that we can do either via phone call during court or by letter. I am so excited!!!! I can't wait!!! It has really open my eyes to how powerful prayer can be!!! Also to the tender mercies of our Loving Savior and Heavenly Father!!! I was so happy I was in tears as I was on my way home talking to my Mom! We are planning on being sealed on the 5th of February 2008. That was the day that Lim and I were sealed and we want that to be the day so that it will be our family anniversary!!!! What a Happy Day this is!!! I am so excited!!! I had to tell anyone and everyone!!! Yay!!! After he is adopted I will call the temple and set things up. We will be going to the Seattle Temple to be sealed for all time and eternity!!! : ) I can't wait!!!!!

I have finally posted pics of when Lim came home on his R&R! It was a lot of fun but of course went by way too quickly!!! We met him at the airport and couldn't find him. I had a feeling that he was in the bathroom and sure enough he was. I saw him coming out and I was so excited I yelled hey babe, he just kept on walking! So I called him by his name and that finally got his attention! He didn't even recongnized me. It was so funny. I asked him what he thought when I said hey babe, he said " I know I am goodlooking and all but I am a happily married man!" He is so awesome! He makes me laugh. The boys were so happy to see their Daddy!!! I was happy to have my hubby home!!! It is funny we didn't get hardly any sleep but I had the best sleep while he was home. The pics that are in here are us in the airport and then random pics of us in California. We were in Santa Ana for the most part but then we went to San Deigo. Those would be the pics with the boys on the motorcycle. We had so much fun there. Just hung out with family. Then we met up with Lim's Dad. It was a lot of fun. I am very sad to say that I left my charger at home so I was trying to conserve my batteries and didn't take that many pics. : ( Lim's cousins have a ton so I will be posting more. The boys loved California, we all did. It was great seeing everyone!!! We ended up going to Sea World, China Town, and Hollywood! It was a blast! We had to visit the ER twice. Once for me and the second for Isaac. I ended up having a UTI that almost went into my kidneys, not very fun! Poor Isaac had strep throat which he must have caught on the plane or something because no one else had it! He was the only one. His fever didn't break until after we got home! We took him in on the Sunday, we left on Tuesday and his fever was still going! It finally broke I think it was Wednesday evening! Poor guy! He was a trooper though. Alma eat the entire time! From the moment he woke up to the moment he went to bed he was eating something! So he now has the nick name Munchie. Malachi played playstation two the entire time we were there. It was so funny to watch him. Gohan (his cousin and best bud) taught him how to play and he was really good at it. Lim and I loved being there and being with family! We all did. I will post some pics of Sea World soon. :)

We are no more then dirt. :)

On Sunday we had a great lesson in Sunday school. I haven't been able to go to Sunday School in a super long time and I am sure that I will be getting a calling soon that probably won't allow me to attend very often so I felt inspired to share my feelings on our lesson on Sunday. The sister who taught is just awesome. She has a great knowldge of the Gospel and understands it really well. We were learning about how we are not better then dirt. She asked us how does that make you feel, knowing that you are no better then a peice of dirt and asked why that would be so important for us to know that. There was answers given, and then she said yes to make us humble. If we think that we are no greater then a piece of dirt, than it keeps us grateful as well. Instead of saying well I didn't get that or she has this that is better then mine or I want this so and so has that and I need it. The media has really been focusing on how we should be good to ourselves, have the best of the best. Get the top of the line stuff. Do what you want to do. The reason behind this is to get us to be jealouse, to envy one another, to have us be selfish! If we keep on remembering how we are no more then dirt it will keep us grateful for anything and everything that we have or that may come our way!!!! It is so true!! It is so easy to get caught up with what the worldly cares. To keep the right perspective would be to have an eternal one that leads you back to Heavenly Father. It really touched me and how she just was so filled with knowldge! It is so awesome!!! I Love Sunday School!!!! I learn so much while I am there!!! I just wanted to share that with you so next time you feel like you don't have anything, think about the house that you have, the food that you eat, the clothes on your back. For your sweet children and all the funny things that they do. For everything and when you keep that on your mind you can look at the world with a new love for our Savior. He has blessed us greatly!!! I know that these things are true and I am so grateful for such a loving Savior. In the name of Jesus Christ Amen. :)

Sick, Sick, and more Sick! : (

I have decided to post this blog because I am sure you are wondering why I haven't posted anything in a while. Well we all had a fun time in Idaho, until the day that we left Jeanette got sick with a fever and horrible congestion, cough, you know all the good stuff right. So then Malachi got it and then Alma, and then Isaac, and then Me and Lisa. Not fun. I bought everthing that you could imagine from zycam to airborne to emergency and sudafed. I bought tyelenol, Kool aids which is supposed to reduce your childs fever and it stays on their head. Alma is allergic to it so we can't use that on him. So we are finally getting over that and then all of a sudden the boys are acting up more then what they normally do. I figured something was up but I was hoping that they wouldn't be sick. Well Alma woke up around close to three in the morning and was up for the rest of the night!!!! NO sleep for me or them (Isaac, and Alma). I think everyone else has had a hard time as well. They were all tired the next morning. So I took Isaac and Alma in to the ER on Monday morning at 6:30 and yeah they did their vitals and then sent me into a room to wait for the doctor. They came in to tell me that they are making an appoinment and they are going to send me to the doctors to primary care 1. I was not a happy camper. The time that it took for them to explain to me what they were doing (making a doctors appointment) they could have checked my boys ears to see if they had an infection and then they could have put in the request for the medication and I could have been on my way. Instead they had me go to the doctors office to have them look at my boys ears! They also sent me to the wrong doctors office. So I went there and had to go to another doctors office. Lots of fun. Anyway so yeah both boys have an ear infection. Isaac's is on the left and Alma's is on the right side. It has been a long long day! I didn't get back until 11:00 am. The boys fell asleep on the way back to Savina's house. Isaac slept until about two or so. Alma sleSo until four twenty! He was really tired! They seem to be feeling so much better. I think I might have a sinus infection. : ( Hopefully not. I am feeling good for the most part. Which is good. Lim will be coming home soon and I want all of us to be feeling our best!!! Well I hope all is well with everyone else! : )
